Delta’s own baggage pages describe a policy that carries a bag to its final stop without a recheck at the connection. This applies on a single ticket that crosses multiple airlines. In practice, the airline operating the first flight sets the allowance and fee for the whole itinerary.

That can differ from a straight Delta ticket. Confirm the allowance shown at check-in. Do not assume Delta’s own numbers apply on a codeshare with a partner airline.

How strictly the counter weighs a bag
