A Lome to New York ticket routed through Addis Ababa is really a two carrier journey. It just reads as one booking. The heavier ET rule can work in a traveler’s favor on the connecting leg, so check both flight numbers on your itinerary first.

Special and oversized items
ASKY charges flat handling fees for items like musical instruments, golf gear, bicycles and framed art. These typically run 100 USD each on ASKY operated flights. Television sets carry tiered fees by screen size, and anything wider than 65 inches ships as cargo instead.
Pets riding in the cabin are capped at a combined 7 kg for the animal and its carrier. The carrier itself cannot exceed 55 by 40 by 20 cm.
Where excess baggage fees actually get set
ASKY does not publish a per kilo excess baggage rate table online. Its site says overweight bags and extra pieces beyond the free allowance get settled at the ASKY counter at the departure airport. Payment can be made in US dollars or local currency.
