Cabin bag and personal item
Every fare, from Value up to Business Premium, includes one cabin bag. The limit is 7kg with maximum dimensions of 55 by 35 by 20cm. You also get one small personal item, a handbag or laptop bag, capped at 40 by 30 by 15cm.
Run your bag through the size checker before you leave home. Fastjet’s cabin limit is tighter than several regional peers.
Checked baggage by fare tier
Value and Value Flex fares include one checked piece up to 23kg. Value Plus steps up to two pieces with a combined limit of 32kg. Business Premium allows two pieces at up to 23kg each, for a combined 46kg.
No single bag can exceed 32kg on any fare. The linear limit per piece works out to 319cm. Check your own numbers against the checked baggage guide before you pack.

The pattern lines up with Fastjet’s own pricing gap between online and airport purchase. Book the extra piece ahead and you dodge both the higher fee and the counter surprise. Passengers who arrive without a plan sometimes end up repacking on the spot, which slows down the whole line.
Connecting through the US
Fastjet does not fly to the United States. Its routes stay within southern Africa out of Harare. If you connect from a US carrier onto a Fastjet flight on one ticket, the US carrier’s rules usually govern the international leg.
Fastjet’s own allowance and fees apply once you reach the Fastjet segment itself. Check the airline directory for your connecting carrier’s own limits before you fly. The two policies rarely match.
Packing around the limits
