Nouvelair flies from Tunisia and Algeria to France, Italy, Germany, the UK, Turkey and other European points. It has no scheduled US route. Most American travelers meet Nouvelair on a connecting itinerary, not a nonstop booking.

Every Nouvelair ticket includes one cabin bag. It also includes one small personal item, such as a handbag, coat, laptop bag or umbrella, at no charge.
Nouvelair baggage allowance: cabin bag size and weight
The cabin allowance is one piece. It must measure no more than 55x35x25 cm, wheels and handles included, and weigh no more than 8 kg. Nouvelair’s own baggage page says excess bags are weighed and tagged at the gate.
They get moved into the aircraft hold, usually for an added fee. Check your own bag against those numbers with the carry on size checker before you reach the gate.
Checked baggage runs on two different systems
On routes out of France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, the UK and Algeria, Nouvelair uses a weight concept tied to the fare class. The Light fare includes no checked weight at all.
Easy includes 10 kg. Flex includes 25 to 32 kg, depending on the route.
A single bag cannot exceed 32 kg. The combined checked weight ceiling per passenger sits at 50 kg no matter which fare you booked.
Flights to and from Turkey use a piece concept instead. An adult or child gets two checked pieces at up to 20 kg each. Each bag is capped at 158 cm in combined length, height and width.
An infant ticket carries one 10 kg piece under either system. Which system applies to you comes down to your route, not your nationality. Check the fare rules on your own itinerary rather than assume the European numbers apply everywhere.
Extra and overweight bag fees
Nouvelair charges by origin and by system. Under the weight concept, a Tunisia departure adds roughly 100 Tunisian dinars for an extra 10 kg. A France departure runs closer to 30 euros for the same amount.
Under the piece concept, an extra bag booked online costs about 130 dinars or 60 US dollars. Wait and pay at the airport counter and it rises to about 170 dinars or 100 dollars.
Bags that are genuinely oversized or overweight, beyond the normal excess brackets, are billed separately. That charge runs from roughly 130 to 310 dinars, or 65 to 155 dollars. The exact amount depends on how far the bag exceeds the limit.

No US flights, so the connecting carrier can matter
Nouvelair does not operate to the United States. A US traveler almost always reaches it through a European gateway on a separate ticket or a through fare.
When your Nouvelair segment is part of one connecting itinerary, the allowance that governs the whole trip is usually set by the carrier that issued the ticket. It is not automatically set by Nouvelair’s own chart. Ask the issuing carrier which allowance applies before you pack.

The same discussion showed travelers getting different answers from third party booking sites than from the airline itself about hand baggage inclusions. That gap between what a booking app implies and what Nouvelair actually enforces is the recurring complaint.
