Miles+Bonus Gold and Star Alliance Gold members receive an extra checked bag on top of the fare. Children from 2 to 11 get the full adult allowance. Infants under 2 get one collapsible stroller free, and the same size rules apply to anything checked for them.

The 23 kg line and the 32 kg wall

Connecting flights and Star Alliance partners

On a single ticket that continues on a Star Alliance partner, the allowance printed on the booking governs the whole itinerary. Aegean’s own baggage page is the wrong place to look in that case; the confirmation email is the right one.

On two separate tickets, you collect the bag and check it in again under the second airline’s rules and prices. For a US itinerary with linked tickets, the DOT most significant carrier rule decides whose allowance applies.

What cannot go in the hold on Aegean
