The overweight and oversize walls
A standard checked bag is 50 pounds and 62 linear inches. Above 50 pounds there is a flat $100 charge, with a hard limit of 70 pounds.
Oversize works the same way. Past 62 linear inches costs $100 extra, and 80 inches is the hard ceiling.
Both are refusal points rather than escalating fee bands. Nothing heavier or larger goes on the aircraft.
The military allowance is unusually good
Active duty military with valid identification get one free carry-on. They may also check two bags free.
On an airline where nothing else is included, that is a meaningful benefit. It is worth confirming at booking rather than at the counter.
