Jet2 will sell you up to three hold bags on one booking, but it will not say what any of them cost. That is the first thing to know about the Jet2 baggage allowance. The limits are clear, but the prices are not published anywhere on the airline’s own site.
Jet2 is a leisure carrier based in the UK. It flies from British airports to Europe, North Africa, and a few routes farther afield. It does not fly to or from the United States.
US travelers who search for the Jet2 baggage allowance are usually booking a UK package holiday, or packing for a trip that starts across the Atlantic. The numbers below still matter either way.
What every Jet2 fare includes
Every Jet2 fare includes one cabin bag and one small personal item. The cabin bag can weigh up to 10kg. It can measure up to 56x45x25cm, including wheels and handles.
That works out to about 22.1 x 17.7 x 9.8 inches. Run it past our size checker before you pack it to the limit.
The personal item is capped at 40x30x20cm, about 15.7 x 11.8 x 7.9 inches. Jet2 calls it a handbag, laptop bag, or a bag of airport purchases. It rides under the seat in front of you.
Hold baggage: generous limits, hidden prices
You can add up to three 22kg hold bags per person, per flight, excluding infants. The price appears only once you reach the payment stage, so Jet2’s own baggage page is where to check what your route is charging. Each bag tops out at 22kg, about 48.5lb. That is a normal ceiling by industry standards.
What Jet2 does not do is post a price list on its baggage page. It says the charges apply and points you to Manage My Booking, where a price appears once you enter your dates.

Sports equipment and outsize items
Jet2 will carry sports equipment, musical instruments, and other outsize items when there is room on the aircraft. It asks for comprehensive insurance on anything valuable.
Bikes are capped at 32kg and golf bags at 22kg. Anything else, from surfboards to drum kits, means a call to customer service first.
Infants, children, and family gear
Infants under two get no hold allowance of their own. If the adult with them buys a 22kg hold bag, Jet2 adds an extra 10kg for the infant’s belongings into that same bag for free.
Families with an infant also get two free items. Pick from a collapsible pushchair, car seat, baby carrier, or travel cot, each under 32kg. The pushchair stays with you right up to boarding.
What is actually banned in the cabin
Sharp and blunt objects over 6cm are barred from hand luggage, along with firearms, stun devices, and anything explosive. Lithium-ion batteries and power banks without a printed watt-hour rating are forbidden outright.
Power banks are capped at two per person, each under 160Wh, hand luggage only. Vapes and electronic cigarettes follow the same 160Wh ceiling and must also stay out of checked bags.
Where the Jet2 baggage allowance leaves a gap
