What Austrian does publish
The cabin bag is 55 by 40 by 23 centimeters, roughly 21.7 by 15.7 by 9.1 inches. That is the standard European frame.
A personal item up to 40 by 30 by 15 centimeters is allowed alongside it. Both are stated clearly on the airline’s own baggage pages.
What is not stated is a kilogram figure for the cabin bag. We are not going to supply one that Austrian has not published.
How to read a missing weight limit
An unpublished limit is not the same as no limit. Austrian Airlines baggage rules still let ground staff refuse a bag that cannot be lifted into the overhead bin.

Light fares get one bag fewer
Austrian sells Light versions of its fares. Each Light fare carries one checked bag fewer than the standard version.
On an intercontinental Economy Light ticket that means no free checked bag at all. The cabin allowance is unaffected.
