Overweight and oversized fees on the bigger jets
A checked bag between 56 and 70 pounds costs USD 50. Between 71 and 99 pounds the fee climbs to USD 75.
Anything over 99 pounds or 120 linear inches is refused as checked baggage. It has to travel as cargo instead.
Oversized bags between 62 and 120 linear inches cost USD 75, on top of any weight fee. Extra bags beyond the free allowance cost USD 50 to USD 75 each, depending on how many you bring.
Flights between the islands run on a different weight rule
On the Twin Otter route, excess weight is billed at 50 cents per pound. That applies above the 55 pound combined limit, and it is not a flat fee like the jets use.
