Wingo uses one linear total of 158 centimeters, height plus length plus width, rather than three separate maximums. A third checked bag is allowed per passenger. It is sold only at the airport counter, and only if the flight has weight and space to spare.
What happens when your carry-on does not fit
The Wingo baggage policy here is stricter than a typical carry-on overage fee. If your bag is oversized or over 12 kg, you must pay full checked baggage price. Wingo then sends it to the hold instead of the cabin.
You cannot swap a paid carry-on allowance for a checked bag later. Checked bags are only accepted at the airport counter, never at the boarding gate.

Community reports are split on enforcement. One traveler said that after three separate Wingo flights in Central America, staff never checked bag size or weight at all.
Other travelers on the same forum pushed back. They warned that getting checked depends entirely on which staff are working that day.
Fees can also land higher than the lowest published number. One traveler reported paying more than 35 US dollars for a bag Wingo had advertised from around 20 dollars.
The final price depends on route, timing, and fare class. Do not assume the lowest advertised figure is what you will actually pay.
Wingo versus Copa Airlines
Copa Airlines owns Wingo, but the two operate separately. They run separate fleets, separate fares, and a completely separate baggage policy.
