Bikes, golf sets, and skis each count as one piece within your existing free allowance on Americas routes. Going oversize on that equipment adds 1,000 to 2,000 CNY. Items with no free allowance at all, like surfboards, run 1,000 to 4,500 CNY.
Any single piece of special baggage to or from the US is capped at 45 kg, about 99 lb. An infant without a seat still gets one free checked bag, up to 10 kg and 115 cm total, plus a stroller at no charge.
