Checked baggage is sold in kilogram blocks
Checked baggage under Transavia baggage policy works differently from most US carriers. Transavia does not charge a flat ‘first bag’ or ‘second bag’ fee. You buy an allowance in kilograms instead, in tiers of 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, or 50 kg, spread across up to five pieces.
The limit that actually bites is per bag, not per trip. No single piece can weigh more than 32 kg, or about 70.5 lb. No single piece can exceed 165 cm in combined length, width, and height, wheels and handles included.
One route gets a lower cap
Flights between Amsterdam and Beirut cap additional checked baggage at 30 kg per person. Nothing more is available at the airport on that route. It is a narrow exception, but it is the kind of detail that ruins a departure.

Transavia’s own pages describe the rules. Travelers on travel forums describe the enforcement, and the two stories do not always line up. Travelers consistently report that the single bag rule gets enforced hard at some gates and waved through at others, sometimes on the same trip.
One recurring account: an identical pair of bags passed through security on the outbound leg without comment, then got stopped and merged into one bag on the return leg at a different airport. Other travelers describe ordinary size cabin bags rejected and sent to the hold while larger bags nearby boarded without a second look.
The sharpest complaint in the forums is not the size limit itself. It is travelers who paid extra for a guaranteed cabin bag and still had it sent to the hold, which suggests the fee buys priority, not a guarantee. Pack light and expect the sizer at the gate to matter more than the fare you bought.
