The only bag that is truly free

This is the part that trips up US travelers most. Most American carriers pair a free personal item with a free carry-on. Vueling only guarantees the small one.
Buying a second bag for the overhead bin
A roller bag in the overhead locker is not automatically included. Vueling caps that second cabin bag at 55x40x20 cm, or 21.7×15.7×7.9 inches. The weight limit is 10 kg, about 22 lb.
To bring one, you need the Fly, Fly Grande, or Fly Pro bundle, or a Premium fare. You can also pay for the ‘2 pieces on board’ service or a Space seat. European carry-on sizes vary by carrier, and Vueling’s overhead allowance sits close to the regional norm.
Checked bags: four weight tiers, four price points
The Vueling baggage policy prices checked luggage by weight, not by bag count alone. You choose 15 kg, 20 kg, 25 kg, or 30 kg per bag. The linear size limit is 158 cm total, about 62 inches, for length plus width plus height.
Prices climb with weight and with how late you book. Vueling lists the 15 kg bag from EUR 10 to EUR 95 online. The 30 kg bag runs from EUR 25 to EUR 120 online.
Buying at the airport instead of online roughly doubles the price. Settle your bag before departure day.
What travelers actually run into at Vueling gates
Forum threads on the Vueling baggage policy agree on one thing: enforcement comes down to the individual gate agent, not the airport. Travelers describe it as a coin flip. Some flights get waved through with a slightly bulging backpack, others get every bag checked against the sizer cage.
Where a sizer is actually used, the size wins the argument every time. Travelers consistently report that a bag which looks fine or ‘should fit by volume’ still fails if it will not slide into the cage, no matter how the weight is distributed.

Guess wrong and it costs you at the gate
Vueling charges for oversized bags at check-in or the gate, not just at booking. An underseat bag over 40x30x20 cm draws a fee of EUR 60 to EUR 75. Anything over 55x40x20 cm in the cabin draws EUR 110 to EUR 140.
Checked bags over your purchased weight cost EUR 12 per extra kilogram. That applies up to a maximum of 32 kg total. Past that, Vueling can refuse the bag.
